The Progress of Redemption

Humanity is known for struggling with God. We were created by Him and for Him (Col 1:17), but we cannot fully understand Him. Our generation has a glimpse at who God is and what exactly He is doing through the Bible. The next few pages retell small portions of the Bible through the eyes of children. Some names had to be added as the characters are not all recorded, though most of them are. I am not claiming that these are accurate portrayals of each characters emotions, but only what I imagine they might have been thinking or feeling considering the events they witnessed. My hope is that this shares a glimpse of the ongoing progress of redemption that God is working out for His glory.

Lonely, Arty Jr. Prince of Persia

Dear God,

I miss the juice man. He was really nice. He works for Daddy, King Artexerxes, and would make sure that none of the food or drinks were poisoned (Nehemiah 2:1). It's scary to have someone else, because Daddy really trusted him a lot. His name was Mr. Nehemiah. I don't know why it was so important for him to go back and rebuild a wall around a city that people hardly even live in anymore. He said that another man already took some people back and rebuilt the temple they used to have there (Ezra 7:6-7). Daddy doesn't mind if they go back there, because they aren't being rebellious, but got his okay first. And Mr. Nehemiah promised he would come back. I hope he does. I miss him. He always tells me stories about You. I learn about other gods too though, and so it gets really confusing. I guess I'll keep asking the juice man questions if he ever gets back.
