Dear God,
I miss my Mama. I know I should be excited to be here in Your house, but
sometimes it's lonely. Uncle Eli is nice, but he's so old, and his sons are
older than me and not very nice to me (1 Sam 2:12).
The reason I'm here is that Mama made a vow to You that if she could
have a baby she would give it to You and so You gave her me (1:11, 22, 28). I'm
glad I'm yours, but sometimes I wonder if they forget about me at home. Now
Mama has 5 more kids (2:21), but I know You will take care of me. And they do
come to visit every year and Mama makes me a robe and brings it (2:19). I
bet it will be too small this year, because I grew a lot! We will see.
God, I hope that You use me to do great things. I don't want to grow up
and do bad things like Uncle Eli's boys. Please use me for Your great work!
