The Progress of Redemption

Humanity is known for struggling with God. We were created by Him and for Him (Col 1:17), but we cannot fully understand Him. Our generation has a glimpse at who God is and what exactly He is doing through the Bible. The next few pages retell small portions of the Bible through the eyes of children. Some names had to be added as the characters are not all recorded, though most of them are. I am not claiming that these are accurate portrayals of each characters emotions, but only what I imagine they might have been thinking or feeling considering the events they witnessed. My hope is that this shares a glimpse of the ongoing progress of redemption that God is working out for His glory.

Trusting, Simeon

Dear God,

I know that Jesus is Your son and I believe that no matter what people say. Daddy has given up everything because he believes that. He isn't home much, but I know he loves me. He does his best to take care of us still. One time right after Daddy met Jesus grandma was really sick. Jesus came over and took her hand and helped her out of bed and You know what happened?!? She was better (Mark 1:30-31)! I was only four when that happened, but I remember. Now that I'm six I am working hard to take care of Mama and the littler kids. Daddy always tells me to be brave and strong for them.

Daddy has the best stories every time he comes home. He got to walk on the water one time (Matt 14:29)! After he told us that, me and my little brother played in puddles for hours, but we still haven't be able to.

Mama says Daddy was always up and down, yes and no, this and that, but that he hasn't been that way since he met Jesus. I know one thing, I trust my Daddy, because he is right. He knows that Jesus is awesome and powerful and I do too.

Trusting, Simeon
